This past Saturday I had the pleasure of leading a hike for the Atlanta Outdoor Club around Stone Mountain via the Cherokee Trail. The Cherokee Trail circles the mountain for about 5.5 miles. I think several hikers in our group were surprised by what a scenic hike it turned out to be. I managed to snap a few pictures along the way and you can view them by clicking here.

I am proud to be…

a brand new Trip Leader with the Atlanta Ourdoor Club. The AOC is a club focused on all kinds of outdoor activities and adventures, from hiking in the north Georgia Mountains, to hang gliding, scuba diving, caving and the list goes on. The club is open to folks 21 years of age and older. There are presently 2195 members in the club. The average age is about 37. I’ve been a member since July of ‘08. I’ve had a great time making new friends and joining in the fun. I’ve been working toward trip leader status for several months and now it’s official. Check out the AOC – it’s free to join!
